Public Access to Belk Library limited for interior work beginning June 29

Published by

The first floor of Belk Library is getting new carpeting starting June 29. The library will remain open during this period, but the front doors will be locked to walk-in traffic. Instead, Elon students, faculty, and staff should use their Phoenix Cards in the card swipe reader to the right of the front doors for access. Computers will be available on the second floor, and library staff will circulate materials as usual. The project is expected to take four weeks to complete. All information will be posted on the front doors with a phone number for those needing help. Belk Library will not be open to visitors and community users except in unusual circumstances. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to use the library as they normally would but must have their Phoenix Card to gain access.

We tentatively plan to re-open to the general public on Saturday July 25.
