Suggest a poll question to be added to this site

Toward the goal of serving atheists, I invite those that visit this blog to suggest their own questions for the “mini” polls you see throughout this site (and always on the right side of the main page).  Make your  poll question suggestions in the comments  section under this post and I will add those that seem to have broad interest.

There have been spirited and insightful comments responding to the “mea culpa” post regarding gender, and I would be especially interested in seeing someone suggest a poll question that would address one or more of the issues raised there.   Poll question suggestions concerning other themes and issues are welcome as well.

Have at it!

I would like to see more polls that are directed at atheists in Muslim countries who risk their lives by being online. They are wanting to be involved in the world and need our support and want us to care if they die as they are alone. It would be worth finding out if they had be threatened by family or outsiders, or if some of the atheists they know have been killed. They are the most at risk and need us desperately

Is there an index of your polls – so that I/we don’t suggest stuff you’ve already done?

What is the best way to support gender equality in atheist organizations? 1) have shared or rotating leadership between men and women; 2) insist that leaders who make sexist comments (or any other discriminatory statements) step down ; 3) Do nothing, people participate according to their own interests; 4) rotate leadership and enact punitive measures. You could also drill down on one of the comments that were posted regarding gender equality: Should leaders who make sexist comments (or any other discriminatory statements) be asked to step down? 1) Yes – zero tolerance will make the movement more friendly; 2) No – education is the way to go, punitive measures will not work
