  • This poem highlights how societal pressures and norms are the cause for slut shaming and how being a sensual or sexual girl does not make you less of a person and it is your choice and your body. It is included because I found it to be a very powerful piece presented in an emotionally stimulating way.

  • This podcast is done by two twenty-something year old women who talk about their sexual experiences and even interview some of the guys they sleep with. This podcast helps to show how having sex (with multiple partners) is not something that women should be ashamed of.

  • This resource is helpful to include in the list because it is an example of dress codes that are sexist and suppress women from expressing themselves. A J.C. Penney employee was sent home for wearing shorts that didn’t fit the dress code. The ironic part of the story is how she bought them from J.C. Penney.

  • This resource is helpful to include in the list because it shows the huge impact social media has on growing generations. The writer talks about the sexism in lives of American girls and how social media is a huge factor for it. She doesn’t necessary call girls “victims” because they also echo the sexism they face to each other.
