Senior Associate Dean for International Programs and Experiential Learning , Office of the Dean, Princeton University

The Senior Associate Dean creates and drives a strategic vision for international programs and experiential, immersive learning at Princeton. In collaboration with others in the Office of the Dean of the College and across the University, the Senior Associate Dean knits together the units within the Office of International Programs to develop a coherent, multifaceted approach to the international arc of undergraduate students’ experience at Princeton; oversees the Community-Based Learning Initiative (CBLI) in its efforts to connect students’ academic work with their interest in and concern for serving local, regional, national, and international communities; and collaborates with the Pace Center to enable the service and civic engagement mission of the University through the curriculum and immersive learning experiences.

Through Bridge Year placements, service-oriented coursework, community-engaged scholarship, immersive experiences on and off campus that provide new ways of learning, international summer internship experiences, semester-long study abroad opportunities, and post-graduate international fellowships, Princeton students have the potential to structure immersive international and domestic learning experiences as a wide platform in their college careers.  The Senior Associate Dean helps articulate and execute a vision for this facet of Princeton’s undergraduate education.
