Project Coordinator, Center for Civic Engagement, University of Texas at San Antonio

This position will oversee all communications of the Center and assist the Office of the Vice President for Community Services with communicating a consistent and clear message of university-community engagement. They will provide oversight to Rowdy Corps, the university’s Community-Based Work Study Program.

Description of Job Duties:

1. Has responsibilities for communications within the Office of the Vice President for Community Services to include the website, publications, newsletter, social media, presentations and other publications as required by the Vice President.
2. Provides coordination and oversight to all communication efforts for the Center for Civic Engagement including website, newsletters, social media and other publications.
3. Serves on university-wide communications committees to provide consistency and uniformity to the university brand; provides community engagement content as necessary for various university publications.
4. Maintains oversight of the university’s community-based work study program, Rowdy Corps.
5. Provides support and assistance in the tracking of university community engagement activities for cataloging, assessing and reporting collective impact.
6. Assists with programming that cultivates a civic engagement culture on campus highlighting the importance of civic literacy and skill development, leading members of the university community to deeper roles of active citizenship.
7. Assists in initiating and coordinating university-community partnerships.
8. Other duties as assigned.
