The Bennion Center seeks an Associate Director to oversee operations and ensure quality learning and community outcomes within the Center’s student community engagement programs and events—including student-directed projects, Utah Reads, Bennion Service House, and Alternative Breaks.
The Associate Director for Student Programs will supervise a team of student program coordinators as well as forge partnerships with community organizations and U campus departments to support strong learning outcomes and positive community impact. The team’s primary goal is to improve community engaged project quality through solid student leader/participant recruitment, training, mentoring, and assessment. The team will also strive to increase the number and diversity of students accessing and thriving within Bennion Center programs. The AD will supervise and assess team performance based on student engagement, student learning outcomes, civic competencies, community partner satisfaction, and community impact.
Using data and metrics the AD will manage program budgets, staff the Student Programs committee of the Bennion Center Advisory Board, leadership team, and community partners to ensure programmatic success. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience mentoring students, managing staff, and building quality collaborations with diverse community organizations.
