Director of Curriculum and Fellowships, Rice University

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Curriculum and Fellowships oversees the strategic planning, development, and implementation of an innovative leadership curriculum that contributes directly to the Certificate in Civic Leadership. S/he teaches up to two courses per year and collaborates with faculty to integrate the CCL’s curricular and experiential programming more fully into the Rice University curriculum. S/he works with campus departments, other academic institutions, and community partners to identify and develop resources that promote and support civic leadership education on campus and in the community.
The Director of Curriculum and Fellowships also administers undergraduate research programming and Rice’s applications to national fellowship competitions and promotes careers and opportunities in civic leadership. S/he advises students and oversees the University Committee on Fellowships and Awards.
In addition, s/he is responsible for leading and directing the Curriculum and Postgraduate Opportunities team within the CCL and supporting LEAD instructors. S/he manages and promotes collaboration and creativity within and across the Houston, domestic, and global program teams and provides strategic guidance on program planning, organization, and implementation.
