Mercer University is embarking upon a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) with the theme of “Research that Reaches Out.” The QEP is part of our reaffirmation of accreditation process with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Within “Research that Reaches Out,” undergraduate students in the Macon campus will be integrating research and service activities, through community-focused applied research. The QEP office is responsible for supporting these initiatives and tracking their effectiveness.
The Associate Director of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) will have responsibilities for the data management for assessment of all QEP projects, in conjunction with the QEP Director. This position will be responsible for handling the funding applications and appropriations to various campus units from the QEP budget. The Associate Director will work with faculty members to develop and submit applications for external grants. Together with the QEP Director, the Associate Director will also manage the communication for QEP events, facilitate faculty development, schedule all activities, and assist with QEP office operations, including hiring and supervising student workers.
