Program Coordinator, Feinstein Institute for Public Service, Providence College

The Program Coordinator position is a full-time, full-year administrative position which develops and oversees strategic programs and initiatives for the Institute in collaboration with the community and other Providence College stakeholders. Programs currently coordinated or involved in the position include: 1) Community Work Study, the “community service” portion of the Federal Work-Study program at PC, which involves 50-60 students at community-based organizations and schools; 2) Global Service Learning, our innovative curriculum-based international immersion/ASB program, including a teaching role in one of the GSL course sections; 3) EXPLORE!, our college access and readiness program for 9th & 10th graders in Providence area urban high schools; and 4) the Providence College/Smith Hill Annex and Café project, a collaboration between PC and the Smith Hill neighborhood. Requirements for the position are the following:  a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution; a minimum of two years’ experience in service learning or experiential education; knowledge and/or experience in programming, grant writing, and higher education community engagement; ability to work with, train, and develop student leadership capacities; ability to build relationships on campus as well as out in the community; excellent time management and organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
