Director, Community-University Partnerships & Service-Learning, University of Vermont

The Community-University Partnerships & Service-Learning (CUPS) Office was founded in 2003, and its mission is to engage the university and community as partners in addressing real world challenges through engaged scholarship and transformative learning experiences. The CUPS Director is responsible for leading a small staff that supports the development of service-learning classes and student community-based research in all Schools and Colleges. He/she provides strategic direction in the development of programming, represents CUPS to various constituencies both on and off campus, delivers faculty professional development, and oversees all office operations.

In addition, the Director is responsible for assessment and improvement of office programming, as well as budget management, and is expected to participate in campus-wide conversations about curriculum and planning.

The successful candidate will bring significant expertise in community-based learning, with 2-4 years of experience in a related
professional setting; experience teaching in a college setting is desirable. The position requires creativity and a high level of organizational efficiency.
