Director of Service Learning, Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, Stanford University

The primary purpose of the Director of Service Learning is to be the permanent resource to enable academic ideas to be translated into direct community benefit. The Director of Service Learning will interact with students, faculty members, community partners in local and international non-profit organizations, and associated campus staff to implement, coordinate
and facilitate community engagement opportunities and service learning courses.

CCSRE’s unique program-based model of community engagement is a model for the Stanford University campus and other institutions across the country. As a leader and staff member of a nationally recognized program in service learning, s/he is expected to participate in a variety of outreach efforts, including teaching, lecturing, and writing, to contribute to the theory and practice of service-learning and community engagement at Stanford University in particular and in higher education in general.
