Coordinator of Community Service, IUPUI

Oversight of the IUPUI Office of Community Service, including operations, strategic planning and supervision. Implementation of programs and services that promote campus involvement in a broad range of co-curricular community service events, civic engagement initiatives, and a service-based scholarship program. Some key duties and responsibilities include supervision
of student staff in community partner outreach, program marketing and constituent communications for the IUPUI campus and community. Will proactively consult with other staff to coordinate the leadership development initiatives of the Sam H. Jones
Community Services Scholarship(SHJCSS) program. Will oversee the planning and logistics of the Alternive Break programs and oversee the Freshman Service Scholar and Community Service Scholar programs of the SHJCSS program. Will present to audiences on program initiatives. Will oversee the budget and supervise staff. Will partner with staff to incorporate central themes into civic engagement programming. Will develop and support outcomes for the comunity service programs.

Required: Master’s degree from an accredited institution, and at least 2 years of full time experience in higher education.

Preference will be given to applicants with a degree in higher education/student affairs. Experience in community service or leadership programming is preferred.
