Setting fire to NC Volunteerism

This week we are trying something different with the blog… introducing a conversation that we wish we could have with you in person!

We are very concerned that according to the Volunteering in America report (http://www.volunteeringinamerica.gov/NC) – in 2010 the number of volunteers in North Carolina went down, a consistent trend since 2005. We know the needs in our state are increasing, and that volunteers could be mobilized to help address those needs.

What are you seeing as a trend on your campus – increasing number of volunteers?  What about in your community?  What are your best strategies for growing the number of volunteers?

Comment below… Let’s learn from each other!
