Two heroes that have a connection are Dr. Manhattan and Bryan Mills (Taken).  Dr. Manhattan became secluded from his family, but more specifically from the human race as a whole.  Because of his powers/talents he gains a new outlook on life.  With this power he is unable to relate to people and ultimately isolates himself.  He lives alone and disperses from his the two loves in his life.

Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) sacrifices his family life initially for his career.  He has a unique talent that makes him special among all other agents.  Because he is so unique, he is always on the run and always doing missions.  As a result, he sacrifices his family life and is not there for his daughter growing up.  In the end he realizes this and breaks away from his career.  As it has been stated, heroes must sacrifice in order to become heroes.  Both of these heroes sacrifice their family or friends, however Bryan Mills eventually catches onto this and returns to his family.

I like the comparison between Dr. Manhattan and Liam Neeson. Taken is one of my favorite movies and Liam definitely is an example of a hero in this movie.

I think that this is a great comparison. I also think that another similarity is that Liam Neeson is also very lonely in the movie Taken just like Dr. Manhattan is. These are both great examples of heroes that made sacrifices for the greater good.
