Postpartum Study

Return to running guidelines after having a baby are sparse. Many social media outlets have conflicting information, and it can be difficult for postpartum women to understand how to get back to running safely. What we do know, is that a large number of postpartum women runners have pain when running. Therefore, we are looking for postpartum runners and runners who have never had children,  to make transition back to running safe and with most evidence-based approach.

The research study involves an online questionnaire and 1 session that lasts about 2 hours. Participants will undergo free 3D biomechanical assessment (valued at $400) for running as well as physical strength flexibility and range of motion assessment. The assessment session will take place in the Biomechanics Lab in the Gerald Francis Center, Elon University, North Carolina.

After completing the study, you will receive a free running report valued at $400 to thank you for taking your time to partake in the study and some ElonRUNS merchandise.
