The Covid-19 pandemic has raged across the world affecting people’s health, way of life, and finances. According to Carolina Community Impact, micro-businesses, i.e. small businesses, compose almost 90% of the United States’ businesses. Small businesses have taken the brunt of the economic impact caused by Covid-19.
During slow economic times, small businesses can often struggle with their finances by using their personal credit to finance their business. Also, some small business owners may have a lack of access to resources or relationships with banks, making it harder to access relief programs during slow economic times, like during this pandemic. This is why North Carolina small business owners struggling during the pandemic can receive assistance through a newly launched coaching program.
Carolina Community Impact has partnered with Consumer Education Services Inc. in launching a business coaching program which helps struggling small business owners with business and personal credit reviews, business plan critiques, and assistance with business financial statements. This program was developed in the anticipation of federal, state, or local programs that were set to expire which were helping keep businesses afloat during the pandemic.
