Presentation: Call Your Representatives: An Exercise to Catalyze Student Civic Participation

While engaged learning seeks to develop active citizens, it has neglected an important opportunity to catalyze civic participation. This session introduces an in-class strategy for habituating students to the practice of contacting their elected officials, to make known their views on issues they’ve been studying in a course.
