Workshop: Beyond the Flipped Classroom: An Experiment in Independent Classroom Management Using Scrum

We present a novel approach to classroom management in which student teams independently choose how they learn: lectures, games, or flipped-style. We present the technique and show that using it resulted in higher grades, fewer honor-code violations, and an increase in the students’ taking responsibility for their own learning.
