Workshop: Coding Student Learning in the Humanities: “Close Reading” for Teaching and Learning

In this workshop, members of Elon’s “Collaborative Humanities Redesign Project” team will share examples of qualitative coding using “close readings” of student work in order to analyze how students are meeting a variety of learning outcomes in various disciplines. Participants will be encouraged to brainstorm assignments and strategies for analysis following practices suggested by the co-leaders.
