Posted on: March 20, 2020 | By: Tarah Holland | Filed under: Events & Training, News, Teaching & Learning

As we look to the start of remote learning courses, Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) Student Consultants presented webinars for students on Sunday, March 22 at 7 p.m. and Monday, March 23 at 10 a.m. to share tips and best practices for navigating Webex and Kaltura.

These sessions offered a guided tour of Webex – a dynamic video conferencing platform used for online meetings, screen share, webinars and courses. Explore how to get started with the service, learn how to access your personal meeting room, and see how you can schedule and join meetings. Consultants also demonstrated how to sync meetings to your calendar.

In addition, the session delved into Kaltura, which offers an easy way to upload and share course-related videos with the Elon community. Though similar to other video platforms, Kaltura’s integration with Moodle and other features make it a great tool for students and faculty. Hear tips to get you started with Kaltura, including how to upload video from your computer or phone.
