Mary Morrison currently serves as the Director of the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement. Prior to her arrival at Elon, Mary worked in service-learning programs at UNC Chapel Hill and was a 4-H agent for the Orange County Cooperative Extension Service. Mary has a long history of community engagement and is passionate about involving students in service and helping them discover their talents. Mary is a leader in service-learning and is often on the forefront of new pedagogies and service-learning theories. Most students know Mary for her kind and approachable manner and many credit her with their interest and involvement in service, both at Elon and after they graduate. Mary did her graduate work at NC State University and is originally from Idaho. She loves spending time with (and telling stories about) her family.
