Clarisse Abayisenga is an Elon University senior, majoring in Sociology with a minor in communications. During her time at Elon, Clarisse has been very active on campus and has held multiple leadership roles that focus on diversity and multiculturalism. She currently serves as a Diversity Peer Educator in the Center for Race, Ethnicity and Diversity education. She has also served as Multicultural Senator on the Student Government Association, Student Program Coordinator for the Diversity Emerging Education Program and as Co-Vice President of the Latin American Student Organization. These experiences have fueled her passion for learning about the uniqueness, individuality and richness in people. Clarisse Identifies herself as a free thinker, seeing no limitations in what we can do and what we can learn from each other when we simply choose to live outside of the box.

Numen Lumen is a time and space to take a break from the busyness of the week and refresh the spirit. It is not a worship service, rather a time of reflection and inspiration offered by a member of the Elon community or a guest speaker.
