Several universities and colleges have begun the necessary process of acknowledging and atoning for historic anti-Black racism. The use of Blackface to promote anti-Black racism has a long embedded history in the US. This talk and discussion will be an opportunity for our community to learn more about the history of Blackface or “minstrelsy” and its historic and ongoing presence on college and university campuses, including at Elon.
