The Community Partnerships and Campus Outreach Specialist (CPCOS) provides information and guidance to students who are seeking experiential learning (service-learning, civic and community engagement) opportunities that enrich their educational goals by organizing, coordinating, and facilitating information sessions (individual and group), orientations, and classroom presentations. The CPCOS develops, maintains, and sustains partnerships that support the mission of ICCE and compliment the University’s strategic goals. The incumbent Identifies potential community partners and provides information about ICCE’s programs, SF State academic internships, and risk-management policies related to experiential learning experiences for SF state students. The incumbent also maintains effective relationships with internal and external constituents (students, staff, faculty, and general public including K-12, community-based organizations, and government agencies) by providing information related to mandated risk management requirements, policies, and processes and developing and implementing community engagement opportunities for students. The incumbent arranges visits with community partners, schedules presentations, and performs any necessary follow-up visits (including risk management site visits). Serves as the primary contact and coordinator of ICCE’s community engagement database (ULink49).
