Weber State University, located in Ogden, Utah, is excited to announce an opening for the Executive Director of the Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL)
The Center, a strategic partnership between Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, facilitates curricular and co-curricular service, democratic engagement and community research experiences for students, faculty and staff and serves as a catalyst for campus-wide community engagement initiatives. Community research efforts are housed in the Community Research Extension (CRE) of the center located off campus in the community and led by the CRE Director.
This position offers an opportunity to build on an already vibrant program of community engagement involving over a quarter of Weber State’s 26,000 students in partnership with over 130 community organizations and 20 robust student-led volunteer programs. The Executive Director will continue to propel Weber State and the Center for Community Engaged Learning onward as a national leader of community engagement.
This is a full-time, 12-month exempt appointment. An appropriate academic home will be negotiated in accordance with the executive director’s expertise and academic training. The position reports to the Associate Provost for High Impact Programs and Executive Director for Student Affairs Strategic Initiatives. Salary is competitive and includes a full range of benefits.
