The School of Public Affairs has an opening for a full-time Professional Research Assistant to work with the Center on Collaborative Governance.
The Center on Collaborative Governance (CCG) provides research, evaluation, technical assistance, and tool development for organizations and communities taking a collaborative approach to building community capacity to achieve goals. The CCG is staffed with researchers and programmers that have over 15 years of experience implementing a participatory approach to working with and among communities to provide data to guide them in their practice of building resilient and healthy communities.
Our projects include work in the area of Early Childhood Development, Home Visitation, Community Resiliency, Economic Inclusion, and National Service. A particular area of focus for the CCG is evaluation, training, and technical assistance that the team provides to communities who are engaged in systems building and network leadership. Most of this work is focused around the data collected and analyzed using the PARTNER tool. PARTNER(www.partnertool.net) is a social network analysis tool designed to measure and monitor collaboration among people/organizations.
The tool has been funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and designed for use by collaboratives/networks to demonstrate how members are connected, how resources are leveraged and exchanged, the levels of trust, and to link outcomes to the process of collaboration. The tool includes an online survey used to administer and collect data and an analysis program that analyzes these data. Users of the tool are able to demonstrate to stakeholders, partners, evaluators, and funders how their collaborative activity has changed over time and progress made in regard to how community members and organizations participate. Clients who ask the PARTNER team to conduct evaluations, training, and technical assistance using the tool work closely with the PARTNER team to implement the tool and translate the results into action to help them to build, manage, and evaluate their networks/systems. We have a growing client base requesting support and evaluation of theirĀ PARTNER projects. We are looking for a person to join our team, providing support for these and other projects.
