NC Campus Compact to Provide Over $12,500 in Grants to Support the 2014 MLK Day of Service in the Southern Region

mlk logo-smallOn October 7, 2013, NC Campus Compact announced the 12 institutions of higher education, in seven states, who will receive mini-grants to support activities related to the MLK Day of Service on January 20, 2014.  Institutions in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia will receive $12,700 to mobilize a combined 3000 volunteers.  A partnership with Florida Campus Compact will allow two institutions in Florida to receive a grant this year.   This is NC Campus Compact’s third year as the Southern Cluster Lead and subgrantee of  Wisconsin Campus Compact in collaboration with Colorado Campus Compact, Illinois Campus Compact, Montana Campus Compact, New York Campus Compact and Oregon Campus Compact.  Funding for this grant is provided by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).  Learn more here.
