Between August – October 2012 , NC Campus Compact’s 20 AmeriCorps VISTA members mobilized campus resources to address poverty-related issues throughout North Carolina and Virginia. The NC Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA program places members on campuses to build or enhance partnerships with community-based organizations. Each VISTA member focuses on one of the Corporation for National and Community Service priorities of economic opportunity, education, or food security.
