Newgrange

Hello from Dublin! This morning we departed from Belfast, Northern Ireland and headed south, back into the Republic. It’s a strange feeling to describe but I’m kind of glad to be back in Ireland. We made our way to Newgrange, a historical passage tomb which is over 5000 years old. It was really cool to be present in a place so old and learn about its significance. It was also unusually warm for this time of the year (nearly 50°F) and it was nice to be outside, admiring the green of the landscape. After this visit, we made our way to Dublin. We passed through a tunnel about 5 km long (approximately 3 miles) with our coach driver Tom providing important commentary. Our hotel is small but nice. It definitely has the most charm and character and will make a good home for the next week and a half. It’s hard to believe that we’re in our last city! It’s been quite the journey and I am looking forward to exploring more of Dublin in the daylight. All for now.
