ENG 313SL: Grant Writing for Non-Profits

Ever wondered how non-profit organizations survive in a bad economy? The answer is grant writing.

In this Service Learning Special Topics in Professional Writing and Rhetoric course, we’ll explore the world of grant writing and grant making. Guest speakers will include representatives from local non-profits who rely at least partially on grants to continue to provide their services to the people and animals that need them.

The course will also include working closely with a community partner to write a small but complete grant application that might be awarded real funding.

ENG110 College Writing is the only prerequisite for this course, which fulfills the Experiential Learning Requirement (ELR).
