Musings – Wylie

So here we are. The final blog post on the eve of the final week of Visual Aesthetics class. If you don’t mind, I’ve prepared a few words. *HARUMPHARGLE*

We’re leaving together
But still it’s farewell
And maybe we’ll come back
To earth, who can tell?
I guess there is no one to blame
We’re leaving ground
Will things ever be the same again?
It’s the final countdown
The final countdown

In all seriousness, I’ve learned a lot in this class. From things that I though I knew about, like shot placement in film, to things I knew virtually nothing about, like typography and all of its intricacies, we’ve covered a lot of information. I’m interested to compare some of my work before and at the beginning of the semester and compare it to some of my later work. I’ve definitely learned a lot about things like color schemes, typography, layout, etc. I think the thing I will take most from this class however was our website layout and mobile design work. I see myself doing this kind of work in the future, and I feel that I may have an edge over web developers who do not have experience in visual aesthetics.

All in all, this has been a great class. I’m terrible at goodbyes (and I know I’ll see you around next semester, Motley), so I’ll end with this. Game on.
