I chose to watch the videos on Rick Morris this weekend. I thought he was a very interesting and talented artist. I enjoyed seeing the artwork in his home, hearing about his motivation and tools he uses to work with, and seeing several of his projects. He showed the viewer a lot of art work that he began with drawings on paper. He told us his favorite tool to use is his pen. He likes to get his ideas down on paper and brainstorm that way. He said he does not begin projects on Illustrator or Photoshop, he works his way to those applications after he has sketched his ideas. I felt like I was hearing Motley speak to me 🙂 I have heard that many times in his classroom. With not coming from an art background, I guess I should start believing this advice for my future projects.
I would like to go back and watch other videos from these artists also.
