Meet Karey Epps, a second-year law student from Manning, South Carolina. Karey received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, where he majored in Criminal Justice. Prior to attending law school, Karey served in the United States military with a career in the Army. He currently serves as President of Elon’s Military Law Society and Treasurer for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. After his first year of law school, Karey returned to South Carolina to work as a Judicial Law Clerk for the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. There, he had the opportunity to handle a variety of cases ranging from criminal to business matters. With his continued interest in business, sports, and entertainment, Karey looks forward to working alongside ESBC as a student attorney, assisting community members in their business and entrepreneurial endeavors.

Meet Natalie Shapansky, who is a second-year law student from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Natalie received her Bachelor’s degree from Widener University in Political Science & Criminal Justice, with a minor in Legal Studies. In the summer of 2020, Natalie worked as a legal clerk for a general practice firm and gained experience in business law pursuits, personal injury, and other areas. Natalie currently is the Treasurer of the Business Law Association, and is also completing her residency with the North Carolina Department of Justice until March 2021. Natalie is very excited to work alongside with Small Business & Entrepreneurship Clinic and is grateful to help clients and those in the communities form their business entities, help with patent work, and more. After finishing law school, Natalie is hoping to move back north to the NYC/NJ area to practice law.
