New books available on Belk Kindles

Published by

Belk Library has added 40 new books to its Kindles!  Fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, classics – there should be something for everyone.

New mysteries and thrillers: including the new John Grisham, Sue Grafton, Michael Connelly, and James Patterson.  If you like Stieg Larsson, I particularly recommend “The Keeper of Lost Causes”, a new Danish mystery.

New fiction: The Art of Fielding, The Marriage Plot, and 11/22/63, Stephen King’s new novel about the Kennedy assassination.

New nonfiction: The Steve Jobs biography, Joan Didion’s memoir, and novelist Karl Marlantes’ deeply personal look at his time in Vietnam in “What it’s like to go to War”.

Hunger Games trilogy: You told us having just the first book was a “tease”, so we added the two sequels.  They’re a fast read, so you can get through all three in two weeks.  Just in time for the movie!

Classics: You told us you wanted more classics, so we added titles by Austen, Dickens, Kipling, and others.

Elon events: We have the Common Reading titles from 2010 and 2011 if you need to catch up, and the new choice for 2012 if you want to get ahead.  Also books by visiting speakers, including Dave Barry and David Eagleton (Voices of Discovery speaker this spring).

Happy reading!
