Belk Library would like to announce its Summer Lunch series: “Do you want to know a secret? What you don’t know about Belk Library”

Open to Elon employees…physical plant, staff, faculty, anyone that works at Elon!

Belk Library has more than just books and journals that Elon students use to do their work.  There are hidden gems that you can use.  These informal sessions won’t have homework…just useful tips.  And fun!

Please join us at lunchtime; bring your lunch, and we’ll provide the drinks and desserts!

 “Skeletons in the closet: Genealogy for beginners”

  • Presenters: Randall Bowman and Jamane Yeager
  • Location: Belk 113
  • Topics: Are you interesting in exploring your family’s history?  Join us for an introduction to genealogical research.  Topics will include using tools such as Heritage Quest, Ancestry Library,; also, other good places to look.

“Summer Reading Recommendations: E-books, audiobooks, and good reads”

  • Date:  Monday, July 18
  • Time: Noon
  • Presenters: Shannon Tennant, Patrick Rudd, Betty Garrison
  • Location: Belk 113
  • Topics: the library has Kindles available for checkout, not to mention audiobooks and E-books, and NoveList for leisure reading recommendations.
