Belk Library celebrates 300,000 book at College Coffee

Published by

Belk Library’s 300,000 book, Earth from Above by photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, was on display at College Coffee in the Moseley Center on Tuesday, April 14.  Students, faculty, staff, and members of the Elon community were given the chance to sign their names with silver-colored markers in the book’s black cloth front endpaper.  Belk Library staff members passed out National Library Week book marks, and attendees had a chance to enter their names in a contest drawing for free books.  For more information about the 300,000 book, see the E-net story.  The Pendulum has also done a story on Belk Library’s celebration of National Library Week.

During National Library week (April 12-18), Earth from Above will be on display at the Information Desk in the library.  Students, faculty, staff, and visitors can celebrate this Elon milestone by signing their names on the back endpaper of the book.  In addition, the Read Posters are on display around the library’s skylight.

Please visit the Information Desk to enter a daily drawing for a free book, Tuesday through Friday.  On Friday, there will be a drawing for a $25 giftcard from Barnes & Noble.
