The Mekong Life

After experiencing the bustling chaos of Ho Chi Minh City, it was a refreshing and unique experience to be able to stay at the home stay in the Mekong Delta. We were able to see the way of life from people in a more rural area. We were also able to (more…)

“Out with the old, in with the new”

Bright lights, skyscrapers, coffee shops on every corner and a youthful energetic vibe. I must be talking about New York City right? Not right. I’m actually describing Ho Chi Minh City and if not for the green taxis, and moped filled streets I might have thought I was in New York. (more…)

Can Vietnam develop in more ways than one?

One of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals is to achieve universal primary education, and this past week we learned a couple of the reasons why this (and reaching the other goals) has been so hard in Vietnam.
