Workshop: Challenging the Hidden Curriculum in the Classroom

One of the most challenging parts of classroom teaching is understanding the way both the biases we innately have as well as the specific, historical emphases of our particular disciplines might impact students. This session will examine how hidden curriculum can affect learning and student perceptions of what is important within the classroom. We will engage in interactive activities and dialogue about our disciplines and classrooms in an effort to make more transparent those hidden curricula.
