kdkdStudent Government Association’s Executive President. Biochemistry major. Brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Senior Joe Incorvia has a lot of roles on campus, and with those roles comes a very hectic schedule. That is why Joe Incorvia can’t live without Sunrise.

What is Sunrise?

Sunrise is a calendar application that syncs all your calendars into one place. By downloading the application and attaching your various accounts, you can sync your iCal, Google Calendars, Outlook calendars, and even events and birthdays on Facebook into one place. You can set reminders for important events, and adding an event to one of your calendars from a computer or another of your devices will automatically update it to the rest of your devices.

Sunrise is available on through the App Store for Apple and Andriod devices.

Why it works for Joe

When Incorvia saw Sunrise advertised on Facebook, he was skeptical. But he decided to try it when he saw it was one of the top applications in the Apple Store. Needless to say, he’s glad he gave it a chance.

“It links up with my work schedule, my Google calendar, my iCal, my favorite sport teams schedules – everything under the sun,” Incorvia said. “I can use it on my phone and the computer, so it’s more effective than just an iCal.”

One of Incorvia’s favorite features is Sunrise’s ability to sync automatically to all his devices. He says now he doesn’t have to worry about missing an appointment or birthday, because it will all be in one place.

“People can invite you to things on Facebook, and it will update itself or you can do it manually,” Incorvia said. “When you use paper, you have to write it everywhere. Now, I can add an event on my SGA computer, and it will show up on my phone and my Mac computer. It syncs to everything.”

Overall, Incorvia is satisfied by his decision to try Sunrise, because it makes scheduling his day-to-day much easier.

“It’s pretty automatic, so that makes my life a lot easier,” Incorvia said. “It’s super easy to use and not stressful.”
