Why Cyber Security Is Important

In a world filled with technology, it’s critical to understand what steps you can take in order to protect your personal information. Every time we make an online purchase, open an email, post to social media, or log into an account, we put ourselves at risk for cyber threats like  identity theft or malware, just to name a few. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to reduce your risk of cyber threats and for staying safe when online.

Each week in October we’ll feature a different topic within cyber security and share actionable tips you can use everyday to protect both your personal and work information. Throughout the month, you’ll learn how to spot email scams, how to create a super secure password, how to stay safe on social media, which tools and services you can use to protect your data, and so much more. We hope that you stay tuned on the Technology Blog, Twitter, and Facebook for more information all month long.
