Account access after graduation

Posted on: May 21, 2014 | By: Ryan Gay | Filed under: Tech Tips

Now that graduation is fast approaching, many graduates wonder what actions they should take in regards to various University accounts. Here are some helpful reminders for students who have graduated.

Network Storage & VPN

Your network storage account and VPN access will be disabled by August 15. If you are in the MED or DPT programs, access will be disabled sooner (these students will receive an exact date via email). If you want to retain any files in network storage (U:Drive or public_html folder) for future use, it is important to save these files in a new location, such as a USB flash drive or Google Drive account. To access network storage from off-campus, click here for more information on establishing an off-campus VPN connection.

Phoenix Card

Upon graduation or official withdrawal from the institution, the cardholder accounts will be closed and any balance over $5.00 on Phoenix Cash Account or Food Dollars Account will be refunded to the cardholder. Refunds will be sent to the mailing address the University has on file and can be expected mid-June.

Email

You will continue to have access to your @elon.edu email address for life due to our partnership with Google.

OnTrack

Your OnTrack account will remain active, giving you access to your transcripts at any time. If you need to order transcripts, please click here.

E-Alert

If you have an E-Alert account (which sends you emergency notifications from Elon), you may want to terminate your account to discontinue future notifications. Visit www.elon.edu/e-alert, click on Manage Your Account, and log in. Once logged in, click the Account tab, and follow the instructions to terminate your account.

If you happen to have questions about future technology-related account access, please feel free to contact the Technology Help Desk at 278-5200.
