American Journal of Undergraduate Research – A refereed journal for undergraduate research in the pure and applied sciences, mathematics, engineering, technology, and related areas in education.
Caltech Undergraduate Research Journal – CURJ highlights the research accomplished by undergraduates at Caltech and publishes interviews with Caltech faculty.
The Corinthian – The Corinthian is open to undergraduate and graduate students at Georgia College from any discipline.
Discussions – This journal features research papers, review articles, and scholarly essays written by undergraduate students from any field.
- Deadline for submission: January 17th, 2014 at 5pm
Intersections – The University of Washington’s undergraduate research journal publishes research papers, essays, theses or seminar papers as long as they relate to the Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences. There are no deadlines for submissions.
Journal of Student Research – This journal accepts research articles and review articles of any topic as long as the first author is a undergraduate or graduate student.
Journal of Young Investigators – JYI authors must be undergraduates. They accept original research and literature review articles in the general sciences/math.
Midwest Journal of Undergraduate Research – This journal is produced by Monmouth College, but accepts manuscripts written about any discipline from any undergraduate students who are at Midwest institutions.
- Deadline for submission: January 15th, 2014. Rolling basis from January 16th – 31st.
Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research – Authorship is for Psi Chi members at the undergraduate, graduate, and faculty level. This journal publishes “only original, empirical manuscripts that make a contribution to psychological knowledge.”
Reinvention – This journal is online and peer-reviewed and accepts submissions from undergraduate students in all disciplinary areas.

Stanford Undergraduate Research Journal – SURJ is an annual publication of research articles written by undergraduates from institutions worldwide in a variety of academic fields.
Student Pulse – This reviewed academic journal publishes the work of university students from around the world in a variety of disciplines.
orgtheory.net: Orgtheory features guest bloggers from a variety of institutions who have ample experience in research.
UCSB Undergraduate Research Blog: This features student authors who come from different disciplines and levels of education and blog about their experience in undergraduate research.
Undergraduate Research Blog: This blog is devoted to talking and thinking about undergraduate research, blogging about the experience, the rewards, and the trials that come with it.
The National Institutes of Health: NIH is a government agency that provides additional financial support towards health related projects in science and engineering.
The Department of Energy: DOE is a government agency that provides additional financial support towards energy-related research.
The National Science Foundation: NSF is a government agency that provides additional financial support towards science-, engineering-, and education-based research projects. They also have a large index of funding opportunities.
The National Aerospace Agency: NASA is a government agency that provides additional financial support towards aerospace science and engineering research.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: This is a useful online tool to find and apply for federal grants.
