For these positions, we hope to recruit individuals with diverse perspectives who will embrace our University and Fitz Center missions of developing justice-oriented citizens; embracing asset-based and collaborative work; engaging teaching, learning, and scholarship with the community; and working towards the common good.  We also hope to recruit individuals who will join us in finding and using approaches that challenge the status quo, unbalanced power structures, technocratic approaches to engaging with community, and other injustices of the world.

Deadline for Community Engaged Learning and Scholarship Coordinator applications is August 1st.

Deadline for AmeriCorps Coordinator applications is July 24th

Coordinator, Community Engaged Learning and Scholarship – (Position Number:  23638)  The person in this position will add to our mission through coordinating community-engaged student programs that seek to sustain just community partnerships and servant leader development.  The Coordinator will coordinate a current community engaged learning student program (Semester of Service); will develop, implement, and then coordinate a new Bonner Leader program; will help build and sustain reciprocal community partnerships; and will assist the Director of Community Engaged Learning and Scholarship with faculty development for deepening and expanding community engagement with local partners through teaching, research, and scholarship.  This position also entails collaborating with campus efforts for work with students in relations to diversity, social justice, civic learning, dialogue across difference, and cultural competency.

We are seeking someone committed to diversity, inclusion, social justice, civic engagement, reciprocal and asset-based partnerships, and to educating students to be justice-minded citizens.

Coordinator, Dayton Corps AmeriCorps Program – (Position Number:  23650)  The person in this position will coordinate the details, partnerships, and execution of the new Dayton Corps AmeriCorps program. Position includes recruiting, communicating, placing, monitoring, mentoring, tracking, supporting, and orienting all 60 AmeriCorps members from area neighborhoods and Universities in each of the Dayton Corps component parts: the Dayton Neighborhood Corps, Opportunity Corps (working with area non-profits), and Education Corps (working with public libraries).  This new AmeriCorps program is a partnership among many entities in Dayton striving to make positive impact in the community on several community-defined priority issues.

**This position is grant funded and is for one year (until August 31, 2018).  Years 2 and 3 of the project is contingent on grant funding.
