Community Engagement Specialist, University of Wisconsin-Parkside

The Community Engagement Specialist coordinates and administers efficient high quality community based learning (CBL) activities that benefit student learning and civic engagement as well as address community needs and support place-based initiatives that strengthen local communities. He/she oversees the community partner matching process and builds new community relationships that lead to effective partnerships in community based learning and research. He/she ensures that effective documentation and evaluation of CBL is completed. He/she conceives and implements media campaigns to build and maintain awareness of UW-Parkside’s community engagement activities. He/she supports the UW-Parkside VISTA project and other national service projects by assisting in recruitment, regular reporting and communication with community based host organizations. He/she supervises student staff and interns and will report to the Director of Community Engagement and Outreach. Performs other duties as assigned.
