Student Engagement Coordinator, VT Engage, Virginia Tech

The student engagement coordinator is a key member of the management team responsible for developing and implementing co-curricular student engagement programming that advances the objectives of VT Engage. The coordinator manages student leadership programming focused on community engagement and social justice. This position oversees the coordination of opportunities for sustainable, purposeful student learning, action, and reflection.

As primary point of contact for STEP UP, the VT Engage student leadership team that oversees logistical coordination and planning of all co-curricular trips, the coordinator manages the budget and expenses related to co-curricular programs and VT Engage’s trip scholarship program. This position coordinates efforts with curricular programs to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners and actively manages assigned partnerships. The coordinator also consults with stakeholders to identify mutually beneficial approaches to service learning. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Student Engagement.
