Job Description:
Community Engagement

Assists the Office of Student Involvement (OSI) in the initiation, planning, development and implementation of a comprehensive co-curricular community engagement program in coordination with Volunteer UCF. Also will include but not be limited to: develop partnerships with non-profit, civic, and volunteer organizations in coordinating volunteer opportunities for students including an alternative break program, special events, and a continuing volunteer series. In addition, the coordinator will explore grant and other funding sources for community engagement projects and immersions.

This position will teach two sections of a course that run in the summer, fall and spring terms. This “Focused Volunteer Community Service” course serves as the weekly training time for Volunteer UCF/Alternative Break Program student leaders.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferences:
Previous experience with program planning, advising student leaders and organizations, leadership training, partnership development, supervision and budget management preferred.
