ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT:

The mission of the Office of Community Engagement & Partnerships is to expand local and global initiatives that strengthen and sustain healthy communities, promote social justice, and help improve the quality of life for all. The Office carries out its mission by building mutually beneficial and reciprocal university community partnerships founded on community engaged scholarship and service-learning pedagogy.

DUTIES:

Serve as a liaison between campus and community-based organizations working to identify, build, and maintain transformative campus community partnerships. This position reports directly to the Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships. Assist community partners in identifying and structuring their needs into engagement opportunities for USF partners.

POSITION QUALIFICTAIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and two years of professional experience; or Master’s degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master’s degree is preferred and two years of experience. Experience in community outreach and partnership building; experience in a university setting; knowledge of Tampa Bay area nonprofit and government agencies; excellent verbal, visual and written communications skills; experience with report and/or grant writing; familiarity with Census data and descriptive statistics; familiarity with GIS or other mapping applications; speaking/reading knowledge of Spanish. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms.
