Deputy Director, Carolina for Kibera, Inc.

Carolina for Kibera seeks a confident, highly-motivated, dynamic, and results-driven leader to oversee and manage the U.S. office of Carolina for Kibera, Inc. (CFK) The Deputy Director reports directly to the Chairs of the Board and Executive Director, who is currently based in Kenya. The Deputy Director’s primary role is to oversee the fundraising, finance, and general administrative work of the organization in the U.S., managing risk as well as building systems, structures, and partnerships to prepare for
future growth. The Deputy Director leads the management of the organization’s partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, to include initiating, building and maintaining major research and volunteer opportunities with faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate will have experience successfully managing staff, interacting with a Board of Directors, fundraising, grant writing, budget management, and significant experience with non-profit operations. The CFK U.S. office is based in Chapel Hill, NC. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Hiring range is $75,000-$90,000 annually.
