Elementary School Mentoring Coordinator, Gonzaga University

Gonzaga University’s Center for Community Action and Service Learning (CCASL) is hiring an Elementary School Mentoring Coordinator.  This position coordinates the Campus Kids and Smile mentoring programs.  Campus Kids is Gonzaga’s one-on-one, campus-based mentoring program for at-risk youth in elementary school. Campus Kids brings Gonzaga students, serving as staff and volunteer mentors, together with elementary school youth from the neighborhoods surrounding the campus. Smile is a group mentoring program focused on building resiliency in youth and increasing self-esteem, operating through Spokane Public Schools’ Express after-school program. Additionally, the Elementary School Mentoring Coordinator works with the Assistant Director for Youth Programs with mentor training, student leader development, and event planning and coordination.

This position reports directly to the Assistant Director for Youth Programs of the Center for Community Action and Service Learning (CCASL) and works closely with the CCASL management team, student leaders and Spokane Public Schools. CCASL is a multi-disciplinary, multi-program community service-learning department at Gonzaga University.
