As Citizen Schools marks its 20th anniversary, we are a launching a new program focused on our key program element, Apprenticeships. After years of successful implementation, and a continued desire for more 21st century skilled focus learning opportunities, we are proud to introduce our Apprenticeship Exclusive Model. In this model, we will partner with middle schools in under resourced communities to provide two days of high quality apprenticeship programming a week. Focused on developing college and career readiness and 21st century learning skills, these hands on learning experiences will connect students to professionals from all walks of life while igniting their imaginations to their potential.

As a Program Manager of the AppEx program, you will supervise a team of Teaching Fellows to implement high quality apprenticeships through effective instruction and partnership with volunteers. You will support in the recruitment and retention of high quality community professionals to serve as Citizen Teachers, while building effective and productive relationships with school faculty and administration. This is an exciting opportunity to pilot a new program, while joining our movement to help every child discover and achieve their dreams.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience leading a K-12 classroom.
  • At least four years of professional, post-undergraduate experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a relevant subject preferred.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.
